Hands-On Ayurvedic Spice Workshop
A practical introduction to cooking with spices for everyday meals
As we move out of winter and into spring, our bodies naturally benefit from lighter, simpler food — but knowing how to make meals feel nourishing, satisfying, and easy to digest can feel surprisingly confusing.
Spices are one of the simplest ways to transform how food feels in the body.
This 3.5-hour hands-on Ayurvedic cooking workshop is designed to help you feel confident using everyday spices in a simple, practical way — so that cooking becomes easier, not more complicated.
This is not about complex recipes or perfect combinations.
It’s about understanding a few key spices and how to use them naturally in your cooking.
What to expect
1. Arrival and introduction to spices
We begin by settling in, with a simple introduction to:
why spices play such an important role in Ayurveda
how they support digestion and energy
how small changes can make a big difference
This is kept practical and easy to follow — no prior knowledge needed.
2. Hands-on preparation and spice basics
As we prepare ingredients together, you’ll learn:
how to use common kitchen spices with more confidence
when and how to add them while cooking
how spices change the qualities of a meal
This part is relaxed and interactive — and questions naturally arise as we go.
3. Cooking simple Ayurvedic dishes
We’ll cook a small selection of simple dishes where spices are used in a clear, accessible way.
The focus is on:
everyday meals you can recreate at home
simple combinations rather than complicated recipes
understanding why something works
4. Eating together
Once the food is ready, we sit down and eat together.
This is an important part of the experience — slowing down, enjoying warm food, and noticing how it feels in the body.
There’s space for questions here too, especially around adapting this way of cooking into your own kitchen.
This workshop is for you if you:
feel unsure how to use spices beyond the basics
want to cook in a way that feels lighter and easier to digest
are curious about Ayurveda but want something practical
enjoy learning by doing rather than being taught at
