Most people come to me because something doesn't feel right.
Perhaps your digestion has changed.
Your energy drops halfway through the day.
You're waking during the night.
Your appetite has become irregular.
Your periods or hormonal rhythm have changed.
You're getting headaches more often.
You feel wired when you want to rest.
You know something needs attention, but you're unsure what to change first.
You want to feel like yourself again.
To have the energy and vibrancy to enjoy the life you already have — your work, your family, your interests and the things you want to do — and still have something left for yourself.
And you want to know your body well enough that every new diet, supplement or health trend doesn't leave you wondering whether you should be doing that too.
You want to know what supports you.
Lasting changes rarely come from information alone.
They happen when you understand what your body needs and begin making changes that support it.
And that takes time, observation and support.
“I just kept returning back to the plan.”
My approach begins with the foundations — food, daily rhythm and lifestyle.
From there, we bring in tailored Yoga and breathing practices, depending on what you need.
We observe how your body responds and refine as we go.
Ayurvedic herbs are used where appropriate, once the foundations are in place.
This is why this work happens over eight weeks, with ongoing support and accountability.
It gives us time to make changes gradually, see what is working and adjust where needed.
Back to Yourself
Personalised 1:1 Yoga & Ayurveda Support
Eight weeks of personalised support to help you feel more energised, clear and at home in your body — and know what supports you when life changes.
What if
You had more energy throughout your day — for your work, your family, the things you enjoy and yourself — without constantly running on empty.
You understood what your body needs and knew how to respond when something begins to feel out of balance.
“I feel lighter on my feet.”
You had a way of eating that nourishes you, with a steadier appetite and digestion that no longer demands so much of your attention.
You slept more deeply and had simple Yoga and breathing practices you could turn to when you needed to settle, restore or regain your focus.
Your mind felt clearer and more present, without the constant mental fog or feeling that there is too much going on in your head.
You could hear about a new diet, supplement or health trend without immediately wondering whether you should be doing it too — because you understood what works for you.
Your days had a structure that supports you. You knew when to eat, when to move, when to pause, and what helps you feel well.
“I’m just really honouring and following my own rhythm.”
You trusted yourself to notice what your body was telling you — and knew what to do with
that information.
Why this approach is different
Yoga and Ayurveda look at the whole person and the patterns that connect what you're experiencing.
Together, we'll look at your food and digestion, daily rhythm, sleep, energy, movement, stress and other factors that could affect how you feel.
From there, we decide what needs attention first.
That might mean changing when or how you eat. It might mean strengthening your daily rhythm, improving sleep, or introducing a tailored Yoga or breathing practice.
We make a small number of targeted changes and observe how your body responds. Then we refine.
Over the eight weeks, this process helps you understand your own patterns, recognise what supports you and know what to do when things begin to shift again.
Understand → choose → practise → observe → adjust.
Know what works for you
You probably already know quite a lot about looking after yourself. You've read the books, listened to podcasts, tried different ways of eating, taken supplements, practised Yoga or changed your routines.
And yet you still find yourself wondering:
What actually applies to me?
What should I focus on first?
Am I doing the right things — or simply doing more things?
Perhaps something works for a while, then life changes. Your sleep shifts. Your energy drops. Your digestion changes. Your hormones change. And suddenly you're back searching for answers again.
This is where personalised support can make a difference.
Together, we look at the whole picture, work out what needs your attention now and choose a small number of targeted changes that make sense for you.
You don't need more things to try. You need to know what matters for your body and your life.
This is usually the point where I start working with clients one-to-one.
“It feels really sustainable.”
Hi, I am Katja
I founded Zest for Yoga in 2000. I’m a senior Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle consultant, and I’ve been working with women for over 25 years.
My work brings Yoga and Ayurveda together to help you understand your body, recognise the patterns affecting how you feel, and make practical changes that fit into everyday life.
I know this work from the inside out.
Over twenty-five years ago, I was dealing with ulcerative colitis and persistent digestive issues. My teacher, Shriguruji Balaji, introduced me to a structured approach rooted in Yoga and Ayurveda — one that focused on daily rhythm, food, Yoga and small, consistent changes.
Adjustments such as drinking warm water, changing my mealtimes and supporting digestion through routine gradually shifted my health. Yoga was already an important part of my life and became part of this wider understanding of how we can support the body as a whole.
Those changes stayed — and they shaped how I work with others today.
This is the approach I’ve been sharing ever since.
Here's what we'll work on together
Together, we'll build a way of eating, moving and living that supports your body and fits into your everyday life.
Along the way we'll:
Understand your individual patterns and what may be contributing to the symptoms you’re experiencing.
Create supportive daily rhythms around meals, sleep, movement, work and rest.
Explore food and digestion to understand what nourishes you, what you digest well and where adjustments could help.
Introduce targeted Yoga practices chosen for your body, your needs and what is realistic for you to practise.
Use breathing and pranayama practices to support areas such as stress, energy, sleep, focus and balance.
Build a small collection of Ayurvedic practices and nourishing meals you can rely on in everyday life.
Stay in touch throughout the eight weeks with WhatsApp and voice notes, so we can respond to what is actually happening and adjust as we go.
Have a way back in when you need it. After our eight weeks together, you can stay in touch and come back for occasional support or a recalibration when life, the seasons or your needs change.
Changes are introduced gradually, giving your body time to respond before we make the next adjustment.
"I just kept returning back to the plan."
How we'll work together
This is a personalised process. We begin by understanding what is happening for you, then make targeted changes and adjust them according to how your body responds.
Week 1: Understand the pattern
We begin with a 90-minute consultation where we look at the whole picture — your current symptoms, digestion, food, sleep, energy, daily rhythm, movement, stress and anything else that may be affecting how you feel.
Together, we'll identify the patterns that need attention and decide what to work on first.
Weeks 2–6: Make targeted changes
Over the following weeks, we'll gradually introduce and refine the changes that are most relevant to you.
This may include food and meal timing, daily rhythm, sleep, lifestyle, tailored Yoga and breathing practices, or other Ayurvedic recommendations.
We'll observe how your body responds and adjust as we go.
You'll have WhatsApp and voice-note support between sessions, so you can ask questions as they arise and we can work with what is happening in real life.
Weeks 7–8: Make it yours
As we learn what works for you, we'll focus on strengthening the practices and rhythms that make the biggest difference.
Together, we'll create a clear way forward so you understand your patterns, know what supports you and feel confident making adjustments as life changes.
And when you need another pair of eyes later, you can come back for an occasional check-in or recalibration.
Every journey is different. Here's how Gurjinder describes her experience:
Working with Katja has been such a gift.
What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t just teach Ayurveda—she helps you truly understand your own body. Rather than offering another quick fix or restrictive plan, she shares a way of living that feels sustainable, deeply nourishing and completely personalised.
I’ve realised this journey has never really been about weight. It’s been about creating clarity, reducing the noise, supporting my body in the way it needs, and building habits that honour my health for the long term.
Katja has an incredible ability to blend ancient wisdom with practical guidance that fits into everyday life. Her knowledge is vast, but she teaches with such warmth, patience and compassion that you feel supported every step of the way.
I’ve come away with so much more than nutritional advice. I’ve gained a deeper connection with my body, a greater understanding of what it needs, and a renewed sense of trust in myself.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting health advice or are looking for a more holistic approach to your wellbeing, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Katja. It has been a truly transformative experience, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed.

Today I feel more energetic, more stress-free, more organised, more efficient and more capable to take on my responsibilities as a working mother and wife. Namita
-
It gave me the skills to identify what needed changing. The lifestyle change was gradual and it has stuck. It is now a way of life. Rupee
Your support changes as you do
This work develops according to how your body responds.
Some weeks we'll make a targeted change. Some weeks we'll refine something we've already introduced. And sometimes the most useful thing is recognising that something is working and giving your body time to respond.
You have support between our sessions, so you don't have to wait until the following week when a question comes up or something changes.
Over the eight weeks, I'm looking at the whole picture with you — helping you decide what needs attention, what can wait, and what needs adjusting as we go.
You're gaining more than a set of recommendations. You're learning how to understand your own body, recognise what supports you and know what to do when things change.

Why is this an eight-week process?
Eight weeks gives us time to introduce targeted changes gradually, observe how your body responds and adjust where needed. It also gives you time to practise the changes in everyday life and discover what genuinely works for you.
How is this work personalised?
We begin with an in-depth assessment looking at the whole picture — your current symptoms, digestion, food, sleep, energy, daily rhythm, movement, stress and other factors that may be affecting how you feel. From there, we decide what needs attention first and tailor your support accordingly.
Will I be given a strict meal plan or lots of things to change?
No. We focus on a small number of targeted changes at a time. Food guidance is personalised to you, and we'll introduce other practices gradually according to what you need.
Will Yoga and breathing be part of my programme?
They can be. Where appropriate, I'll create Yoga and breathing practices specifically for you, taking into account your needs, experience, ability and the time you realistically have available.
What happens between our sessions?
You'll have WhatsApp and voice-note support, so you can ask questions as they arise. This also allows us to respond when something changes rather than waiting until our next session.
What happens after the eight weeks finish?
By the end of our work together, you'll have a much clearer understanding of your patterns and what supports you. If something changes later — your health, routine, circumstances or the season — you can come back for an occasional check-in or recalibration.
What role do Ayurvedic herbs play?
Herbs may be introduced where appropriate. Food, daily rhythm and lifestyle form the foundations of our work, and herbs can provide additional support when needed.
How does this work alongside a busy schedule?
We work with your actual life. The aim is to identify the changes that will make the most difference and introduce them gradually, so you're building something you can realistically continue.
Do I need to have a digestive problem to work with you?
No. Digestion is an important part of Ayurveda and something we'll consider, but you may come to me because of changes in your energy, sleep, stress, hormonal rhythm or simply because you don't feel as well as you used to. We'll look at the whole picture and decide what needs attention first.
You’ve got this
You don’t have to do this alone.
If this feels like the right next step, you can begin here.
