Back to Rhythm

(formerly Lift Your Mood with Food)

A 12-week Ayurvedic programme to rebuild steady energy, digestion, and emotional balance — by restoring daily rhythm.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about giving your body the rhythm it’s been missing.

Meals feel simpler again.

Feel calmer, clearer, and more energised — often within the first few weeks.

If you’re tired of waking up exhausted…
If your digestion feels unpredictable…
If your mood changes with the smallest trigger…
If you’re doing your best but nothing is really shifting…

You’re not doing anything wrong.
It’s your rhythm.

Is This You?

You look like you’re coping.
But inside, it feels harder than it should.

  • You wake up already tired — not exhausted enough to stop, but never quite rested either.

  • Your days are full of small decisions: What’s for dinner? Did I eat properly? Why am I snacking again?

  • You rush from one thing to the next, often forgetting to eat — then feel bloated, heavy, or irritable later.

  • You do most of the organising at home. Meals, planning, remembering, holding it all together — it all seems to land with you.

  • You feel guilty for wanting space… and guilty again when you don’t have the energy to show up as your best self.

You’ve tried to “fix” things:

  • following health advice from podcasts and books

  • starting routines that last a week or two

  • grabbing takeaways when you’re too tired to cook

  • telling yourself you’ll get back on track when things calm down

But nothing really sticks — and part of you starts to wonder if it’s you.

It’s not.

What’s missing isn’t willpower or discipline.
It’s rhythm.

Stop Managing Stress and Food Separately

Back to Rhythm is for women who are tired of managing everything separately — stress, food, energy, emotions — and want a way of living that actually holds them, day after day.

This 12-week Ayurvedic journey helps you rebuild energy, digestion, and emotional steadiness — through simple routines, nourishing food, and daily practices that meet you where you are.

This isn’t about dieting, perfection, or “hustling” your way to health.
It’s about learning the gentle rhythms that bring your body back into balance - and keep it there.

You don’t need to wait 12 weeks to feel a difference

Every body is unique — but most women notice gentle shifts within the first 2–3 weeks, such as:

  • steadier energy throughout the day

  • less bloating or digestive discomfort

  • a calmer mood and fewer emotional spikes

  • clearer thinking and easier decision-making

  • improved sleep quality

  • a growing sense of “coming back to myself”

These early changes don’t come from doing more — but from your daily rhythm beginning to match what your body actually needs.

And as the weeks unfold, those small shifts build into deep, lasting change.

“I HAVE LEARNT AND DEVELOPED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE, WHICH WILL BE WITH ME FOREVER.”

“Thank you so much, Katja, for this life-changing and inspirational course. I have learnt and developed knowledge, skills and confidence, which will be with me forever. Ayurveda is so fascinating, and I am very happy that I have been able to incorporate it into my life. I will continue to draw upon my newfound knowledge to stay balanced 😊. “

Why It Works — and What Lasting Change Really Looks Like

Back to Rhythm works because Ayurveda isn’t theory — it’s medicine for daily life.

Instead of asking you to overhaul everything at once, this programme focuses on restoring the conditions your body needs to regulate itself again. Each week builds on the last, helping you create momentum without overwhelm.

You’ll learn, apply, reflect, and integrate — with guidance every step of the way.

That’s why balance doesn’t feel fragile or temporary.
It becomes something you can return to.

One of my past students joined this programme three years ago.
She created a folder with every handout and still revisits it whenever life feels a little too full.

What she learned wasn’t a diet or a short-term reset — it became her anchor.

When she feels stretched, unsettled, or off balance, she knows exactly what to do.
She returns to a simple, soupy reset day, reconnects to her rhythm, and feels grounded again — every time.

This is the heart of Back to Rhythm.

Not a plan you follow once, but a way of working with your body that stays with you.

The result isn’t perfection.
It’s steadiness.

And steadiness is what allows your energy, digestion, mood, and confidence to rebuild — naturally, over time.

Real Women. Real Results.

“Small changes that gave instant results — and helped me heal emotionally.”

Thank you, Katja, for introducing me to the basics of Ayurveda. This came into my life at the right time, when I needed help after personal events. The small changes you suggested were not only doable — which made them easier to follow long term — but also gave me instant results.

This helped me immensely to heal emotionally. Your course format is so balanced — it involves self-study, group calls where you bring everyone together to share, and 1:1 sessions where individual questions can be addressed.

Your cooking videos and recipes are easy to follow — the yellow moong dal is a hit in our household and our favourite go-to when pressed for time but still wanting something healthy on the table.

Thank you for everything. I’m sure I’ve only scratched the surface and can’t wait to learn more.”

“The best decision of my year — it transformed my lifestyle.”

“Introduction to Ayurveda with Katja Patel is the first thing you should enrol in if you’re looking to transform your lifestyle. I can term this as my best decision of 2023.

This course helped me introduce extremely prominent, life-changing habits that I hope to keep forever — from early dinners and better sleep routines to reducing caffeine and understanding my family’s health needs. I now have more energy without supplements, and even my grocery list looks different!

Decisions were tough, but once I started seeing results, every bit of effort was worth it.

Today I feel more energetic, more stress-free, more organised, disciplined, efficient, and capable of handling my responsibilities as a working mother and wife.

Thank you, Katja, for the course and for all your help during the process.”

“It’s an investment.”

Yes — and so is your wellbeing.

You’ve already spent time, money, and energy chasing quick fixes.

This works at the root — rebuilding digestion and energy so you feel strong, clear, and emotionally steady again.

“Life-changing — I’ll use this knowledge forever.

Joey Beevor, Yoga Teacher & Personal Assistant

“I don’t have time.”

You’ll spend around 20 minutes a day — often while walking, cooking, or driving.
Each practice simplifies what’s already not working, so it saves time rather than adding to your day.

This isn’t about doing more — it’s about removing the noise.

“Isn’t Ayurveda complicated?”

Not the way I teach it.
No memorising Sanskrit. No rigid rules.
Just clear, step-by-step guidance, simple handouts, and support to help you apply what you learn.

Ayurveda becomes your toolkit — not your homework.

You don’t need more content — you need the right content.
Everything included is designed to make life easier, not busier.

It saves time, builds confidence, and helps you start strong — without needing to change everything at once.

Why Rhythm Matters to Me

People often tell me I seem calm and grounded — as if rhythm comes naturally to me.

But I didn’t always live this way.

I grew up with a steady rhythm: home-cooked meals, seasonal living, regular mealtimes.
In my twenties, I swung to the opposite — long nights, irregular eating, and even grabbing kebabs at 4 am after dancing all night.

From an Ayurvedic perspective… a complete digestive disaster.

Over time, my body let me know something wasn’t right.
My digestion became unpredictable, my energy crashed, and eventually I developed ulcerative colitis.

Yoga and Ayurveda didn’t add more rules to my life.
They brought me back to something simple and powerful:

regular meals, steady mornings, consistent rest, warm, nourishing food, and a daily rhythm that made my body feel safe again.

That’s when everything changed — digestion, mood, energy, sleep, clarity.

Back to Rhythm is built on the same principles that helped me rebuild my health and sense of ease.

Not a diet.
Not a quick fix.
A return to rhythm.

And when your rhythm comes back, your well-being follows.
Quietly, steadily — in a way that lasts.

Meet Katja

Twenty-two years ago, I founded Zest for Yoga. Since then, yoga and Ayurveda have been integral to my life.

As a yoga teacher and Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Consultant, I support busy, health-conscious women who feel stressed, unsettled, or low in confidence — using practical tools from yoga and Ayurveda that fit real life.

I came to this work through my own health challenges. After being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, I began working with Ayurveda and yoga to rebuild my digestion, energy, and daily rhythm.

What made the difference wasn’t doing more — but learning how to work with my body.

Changing my diet, lifestyle, and daily rhythm transformed my health — and I now share these same principles so you can experience steadiness, energy, and confidence in your own life.

👉 You don’t need to know Ayurveda — you just need the willingness to begin.

Katja Patel practising lifted lotus seat on rocks, wearing a pink sweater and jeans, smiling broadly.

“The course helped me break my aversion to cooking, which isn’t something I naturally enjoy. I learnt about food as a concept of ‘nourishing the mind and body’, and this has been transformational in how I now approach food preparation for my family.”

Real Change Takes Support — Not Willpower

You’ve done enough on your own.

Every woman who’s joined started exactly where you are now: busy, tired, and unsure.
What they discover is that small shifts, applied consistently, change everything.

You don’t need more effort — you need rhythm.
